“Positive Building from start to finish”

J P Construction & Development Ltd Awards

JPCDL was awarded Winner in the City and County of Swansea Building Excellence Awards

JP Construction and Development Ltd (JPCDL) have recently won the Local Area Build Control Building Excellence Award for a single dwelling from Swansea Build Control Department.

They have now been shortlisted for the National finals next month. This local independent company specialise in all forms of construction from minor refurbishments and single dwellings through to large scale house building projects.

The emphasis on all of their projects is quality and this is reflected by the recent award from LABC. The prestigious award JPCDL won was awarded for the construction of a spectacular new house in Three Crosses.

Firdene is a beautifully constructed four bedroom detached home with a separate double garage. Everything about this house is impressive from the Gower Stone frontage to the white Italian granite paving giving it a Mediterranean feel. The high quality finish continues on the inside with a beautiful floating staircase made from walnut and glass being the main centre piece. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas are the proud owners of this stunning new house and are not surprised that the quality of the workmanship by JPCDL has been rewarded with such a coveted accolade.

JPCDL was awarded Winner in the City and County of Swansea Building Excellence Awards

The City and County of Swansea’s Building Control Surveyor David King was involved with this project from the outset, overseeing compliance with the building regulations and the attention to detail which contributed to this quality award winning project.

One of JPCDL current projects is a build that is quite unusual and is the very first of its kind in Swansea. They are constructing a Code 4 house with all the latest sustainability features. Every wall has the highest levels of insulation, and the whole house is covered with a sedum roof. Code assessors will visit the site to ensure stringent regulations are adhered to and 85% of the waste from the build has to be recycled.

Moving onto more traditional houses, JPCDL have built 43 homes in Bynea, Llanelli for local developer Knightstone Homes. This mixture of 1 and 2 bed room apartments along with 3 and 4 bedroom houses has sold very well with only the final phase awaiting completion. Thirteen of the homes have been specifically built for Gwyr Homes, part of the Gwalia group.

JPCDL can provide clients with a full project management package from design and planning through to construction and completion. Written contracts will itemise everything and provide peace of mind for the client. Upon completion of the build, the Project Manager will go through a “snag list” with the clients to make sure they are happy with everything and any issues are resolved immediately. These important factors prove that with a house built by JPCDL, the customer is always the most important person in this relationship.

The company strapline is “Positive Building” and with so many proud homeowners, happy with the quality of their new JPCDL home, this award will surely be the first of many.
